Summer Programs Sponsored by the CHS

The Center for Hellenic Studies announces three programs for Harvard University students during the summer of 2008:
  • A summer program on an archaeological dig outside of Corinth. For more information, please click here .
  • A summer seminar for graduate students on the theme of nostos in Homeric epic. For more information, please click here or download the poster here .
  • A summer internship program for Harvard University undergraduates to work in Greece.The purpose of the internships is to combine academic work with community engagement, involving research on topics of interest that take shape in the context of active contact with Hellenic civilization, past and present. Concentrators from any field are encouraged to apply.This is a pilot program for the summer of 2006, funded by the Faculty Innovation Fund and designed to be a model for future programs held at the new CHS Regional Office in Nafplion, Greece. Students will be placed in organizations in either Athens or Nafplion, Greece. For more information, please click here .

The CHS Library will remain open to the general public for the duration of the graduate student seminar. In some cases, opportunities may be available for senior scholars to use the library and reside at the Center for up to two weeks. To learn more, please contact us.
