Events Series

CHS GR ES 2019 1An integral part of the Center’s outreach is the annual Events Series. The Events Series, one of the longest-running CHS GR activities, addresses the local community of the Argolis region and Greece in general, through a series of lectures, as well as exhibitions, performances and presentations. Over the years, the Events Series initiative has become a point of reference for the cultural life both of the local community and several other Greek cities.

 Events Series 2019

This year’s Events Series is concerned with issues of Culture, Education and Politics. Prominent Greek and foreign scholars will engage with matters of geopolitical importance, architectural heritage, as well as with Latin, Byzantine, modern Greek and World Literature. From Rome to Byzantium, the Generation of the ‘30s, contemporary Greece and beyond, the lectures will focus on a variety of topics, employing the latest trends of research in the fields of humanities and social studies.

The Events Series 2019 includes seven lectures that begin on December 05, 2018 and continue through June 2019. The  lectures take place in Nafplio, Athens, Rethymno, Thessaloniki, and Patras.

The program of the Events Series is usually announced in November, and the events' annual cycle ends in June. Please find here the full 2019 Events Series program.

CHS GR shares videos of the Series lectures through its website. Recordings and discussions are available here.
