PARTICIPATION OF A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF GREECE IN THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM “SPORTS, SOCIETY AND CULTURE”, ORGANIZED ANNUALLY BY THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC ACADEMY AND THE CENTER FOR HELLENIC STUDIES, HARVARD UNIVERSITY
Within the framework of the collaboration between the National Library of Greece (NLG—Greek acronym: EBE) and the Center for Hellenic Studies, Harvard University (CHS), the NLG was invited by the CHS and was represented by Mr. Andreas Vyridis at the 4th International Scientific Symposium, held in Ancient Olympia by the International Olympic Academy (IOA) and the CHS. Participation in the annual Symposium, held this year from July 6 to 9 on the IOA premises in Ancient Olympia, was free of charge for more than 80 undergraduate and graduate students from Greek Universities as well as professors from various American, Greek and other European Universities (Harvard, Oxford, Western Ontario, University of Crete, etc.). This year’s Symposium “Sports, Society, and Culture” specific theme was “Exploring Excellence”, while the detailed program can be found here.
The CHS and the NLG intend the continuation of their collaboration through various activities, particularly ones focusing on scientific research, exchange of knowledge etc.
