CHS GR Event | Alicia Stallings, “Hesiod: A modern poet for the times”
Join us on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, in Nafplio as we welcome A. E. Stallings, poet, critic, and verse translator, who will discuss and read from her new verse translation of Hesiod's Works and Days, focusing on the experience of translating Hesiod (a poet deeply concerned with justice, work, debt, and hard times) in Greece during the Greek financial meltdown. CHS Fellowships with AUTH’s Department of Classics 2017: Apply Now!
Harvard University’s Center for Hellenic Studies and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Philology are pleased to offer jointly up to three Fellowships to Ph.D. holders from AUTH’s Department of Classics, who received their doctorate degree no more than five years ago.
