On Saturday, January 23, 2016, the Center for Hellenic Studies and the Society for the Promotion of Education and Learning, organized a joint educational workshop in Thessaloniki, Greece on “The concept of the hero in antiquity and its diachronic evolution. An important educational tool.” Professors Gregory Nagy, Ioannis Petropoulos, Leonard Muellner, and Keith Stone presented their work on “Diachronic and Synchronic Approaches to the Hero at Harvard and other universities” to a large audience.
