Reading Greek Tragedy Online returns for its 5th season with a performance of Children of Herakles on Wednesday, October 19 at 3pm EDT, where host Joel Christensen will be joined by Dr. Katherine Lu Hsu (Holy Cross University).
The series, produced by the Center for Hellenic Studies, Kosmos Society and Out of Chaos theatre company, began in March 2020 in response to the first Covid lockdowns in the UK and US. It has live streamed readings and discussions of every extant Greek tragedy, along with episodes on fragments, epic, comedy and modern reception. All videos remain freely accessible online, and have gained more than 175,000 views on YouTube.
