Welcome to Boston’s Night of Ideas, an all-night marathon of philosophical discussions, artistic performances, and academic debates!

About this event

The Cultural Services of the French Consulate in Boston, in partnership with Harvard University, Bunker Hill Community College, and the International School of Boston, is launching a Night of Ideas on Friday, May 6th, from 6pm to 11pm at Harvard University.

This event will bring together academics as well as artists, activists, and public intellectuals to address a variety of timely questions around a central theme: “Where are we Going ?” This exciting Night of Ideas will be an opportunity to celebrate the resilience of society, rethink democracy, and imagine new paths forward for a world in crisis.

This all-night marathon of discussions will welcome world-renowned thinkers from various disciplines: philosophy with Bruno Latour, Mark Schiefsky, and Bonnie Talbert, Science and Technology Studies with Sheila Jasanoff, Artificial Intelligence with James Katz and Claire Boine, social change and empowerment with Julie Battilana and Cyr Medo, but also astrophysics, psychology, literature, and much more!

FYI. Every attendee will need at least one ticket for “General Admission”. This will allow them to attend the talks as well as the artistic performances. For each workshop, an extra “Workshop” ticket will be needed.
