Apply by April 30, 2024 to receive funding for projects taking place in Summer 2024.
Apply by May 31, 2024 to receive funding for projects in AY 2024-25.

The CHS is opening applications for the following grants for Harvard faculty and students:

Grants for Student Projects in Hellenic Studies

Eligibility: Harvard graduate and undergraduate students

These grants are for student projects related to Hellenic Studies within the scope of the Center’s mission. Funds are meant to support travel, internships, or research related to the student’s program of study. Proposals can fall under any discipline of the natural sciences, social sciences, or arts and humanities.

Grants for Research in Greece

Eligibility: both Harvard faculty and Harvard graduate students

These funds are meant to support short stays of faculty or graduate students whose research requires travel and residence in Greece, either during the academic year or over the summer. Projects should fall within the scope of the Center’s mission, broadly conceived. Research can fall under any discipline of the natural sciences, social sciences, or arts and humanities.

Grants for Course Development Initiatives

Eligibility: Harvard faculty

These funds are for course development related to Ancient Greece. Courses can fall under general education or any discipline of the natural sciences, social sciences, or arts and humanities. Depending on the project, the Center can help with curricular development support, workshops related to course development, and/or small grants for research assistantships. The exact model is flexible and can be worked out in collaboration with the recipient.
