We are pleased to announce the workshop “Law, Economics, and Society: Purchase and Sale in Ancient Law and its Reception” to take place at Harvard University, April 22-23. The workshop will bring together scholars from the USA, UK, and Europe to explore the ways in which the law(s) of sale and purchase in the Ancient Greek and Roman world interact with and are affected by economic factors and local customs.
