The Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, DC, Harvard University (CHS US) on behalf of the Network for the Study of Archaic and Classical Greek Song, and with the support of the Center for Hellenic Studies (Greece), Harvard University (CHS Greece), organizes the 6th Open International Conference entitled “Performing Texts”.
This conference aims to open what we hope will be an expansive, mutually enriching dialogue between performance-based approaches to lyric and the current (re)turn to its more literary and aesthetic aspects and effects.
The conference will host 36 speakers and 14 discussants from all over the world (US, Greece, Brazil, Italy, UK, Germany, Israel, Cyprus, etc.), divided in 14 sessions. It will take place between July 1 and 5, 2020, at the premises of the Anargyrios and Korgialenios School, on the beautiful island of Spetses, Greece.
The conference is open to every interested faculty member, student, and researcher from around the world.
Registrations will remain open until April 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
*Speakers and discussants do not need to register*
