CHS Fellowships in Hellenic Studies

The program encourages and supports postdoctoral research of the highest quality on topics related to ancient Greek civilization. The program offers options for individual and collaborative proposals, and provides for flexibility in terms of residency at the CHS (Washington, DC) and levels of financial support. The application is open until Friday, December 2, 2022.

Early Career Fellowships in Hellenic Studies in Greece and Cyprus

The program aims to support postdoctoral researchers who are citizens or permanent residents of Greece and Cyprus, and whose work requires continued access to material on site (e.g. archives, artifacts, archaeological sites). Fellowships include a stipend of $12,000 and the opportunity to visit the CHS offices in Nafplio, for up to 5 days, and in Washington, DC, for up to 10 days. The application is open until Friday, December 2, 2022

Early Career Fellowship in Philhellenism

On the occasion of the celebration of the 200 years (1821-2021) since the Greek war of independence and as part of a series of events that the CHS will organize to honor this important anniversary, the CHS offers one fellowship to a postdoctoral researcher based in Greece to conduct research of the highest quality on topics related to 19th-century Philhellenism. The fellowship includes a stipend of $15,000. The application is closed.
