Welcoming Ryan Pasco, Associate Director for Fellowships and Academic Programs

The Center for Hellenic Studies is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Pasco as Associate Director for Fellowships and Academic Programs.

Ryan received a PhD in Classical Studies from Boston University in 2022, where they focused on representations of the emperor in early second-century Greek and Latin literature and digital humanities.

Following Ryan’s PhD, they took up an administrative position in Harvard University’s Classics department; this role involved supporting the department’s undergraduate program and serving as managing editor for the journal Harvard Studies in Classical Philology.

From the Classics department, Ryan now comes to the CHS, where he will manage our fellowships program and oversee our publication series. They look forward to getting to know all parts of the center’s community, such as our visitors, library users, staff, and fellows. Ryan is especially eager to contribute on the center’s outreach efforts by developing academic and public-facing programming, engaging with the local community, and finding new audiences through digital modalities.
